The merger, which required a detailed investigation under the Competition Act’s merger rules, was successfully facilitated by Landslog, whose legal expertise ensured a smooth approval process. The settlement agreement was signed on 12 February 2025.

Jóhann Ólafsson & Co., established on 14 October 1916 by Jóhann J. Ólafsson, has been a key player in the Icelandic lighting industry for over a century.
