We have supported Webuild in the signing of the agreement with Bologna FC 1909 and Bologna Stadio S.p.A. for the carrying out of further in-depth studies and technical and economic feasibility assessments for the renovation of the historic Renato Dall'Ara stadium in Bologna.
The multidisciplinary legal team consists of lawyers Marco Padovan, Michele Bonomini and Chiara Guardamagna. The ambitious project represents an important milestone in the renewal of Italian sports infrastructure, with the aim of giving new life to one of the most iconic stadiums in our country.
Thanks to our experience in the field of major works, we have supported Webuild, in all legal aspects, helping to make the agreement process clear, effective and oriented towards sustainable results. Participation in this initiative proved to be an opportunity to deepen issues of great interest and legal relevance, first of all the application of PPP to the construction, modernization and management of sports facilities.
According to Global Reconstruction Review, Webuild was assigned this 200 million Euro radical make-over of Renato Dall'Ara iconic stadium built in 1927. "The project will demolish and rebuild all the stands, add a shell-shaped polycarbonate roof, and remove metal structures added during the Italia ’90 World Cup Finals to expose the ground’s brick arcades."

Studio Legale Padovan is proud to put our expertise at the service of projects of this magnitude, which require a perfect balance between innovation and respect for cultural heritage.
A public statement issued by Bologna FC at the end of last month said:
"This initiative is part of the wider Public Private Partnership project developed by the Club with the Bologna city council. With a new-look Stadio Dall’Ara, the city has cemented its candidacy for hosting matches at UEFA EURO 2032.
"Given the Webuild group’s world-class expertise in stadium design, the aim of the project — which involves a total investment of €200 million — is to renovate and increase the value of the ground, founded in 1927, while maintaining its public ownership. The Dall’Ara will become a high-class facility used seven days a week, in line with the best stadiums in the world.
"A key feature of the new design is the stadium’s roof, which will be shell-shaped to allow both light and air to enter the ground. Furthermore, the metal structures, added for the Italia ’90 World Cup, will be removed, revealing the original façade of the building. The stadium will be with UEFA category 4 and will have a capacity of over 30,000, with all seats having an excellent view of the action due to the proximity of the stands to the pitch, at around 7 metres from the field of play."
