AMSTERDAM - Wintertaling is proud to share that we have assisted Envipco in the project to supply and install Reverse Vending Machines (deposit machines) in Hungary. The machines will be produced in Envipco’s factory in Romania. 

The project is an important link in the implementation of the Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) in Hungary, as part of the introduction of the Single Use Plastics EU Directive. The project will start from 1 July 2023 and it is planned that the DRS system in Hungary will be operational from 1 January 2024. 

Wintertaling's team consisted of Jonathan Barth, Niels Verbraak and Tim Carapiet-Petit. They advised Envipco on drafting various agreements, setting up local entities and financing documentation. Legal support in Hungary was provided by dr. BALÁZS Tamás, Partner of  BALÁZS KOVÁTSITS Legal Partnership, through the Legal Netlink Alliance network.
